Front page two times in a row :)

When a project makes it onto the cover of one of the most important contemporary architecture magazines, it's a highlight! If it happens twice in a row you are either brilliant or a landscape architect ;) In any case a special highlight for us. And we are grateful for the publication and appreciation of our work. The edition of wa wettbewerbe aktuell from 08/2021 shows our winning project Stadtbaupuzzle Berlin, a cooperation with AllesWirdGut (Vienna). The edition from 09/2021 shows our winning project Metro Campus Düsseldorf, a cooperation with acme (Berlin) and Stadt Land Fluss (Berlin).

Impressions from building site "legero united campus" | Graz (AUT)

The landscape design of the legero united campus is based on the interaction of two contrasting landscapes. The pragmatic and straightforward landscape surrounding the building is contrasted by round and continuously flowing forms in the courtyard garden. Meandering paths will connect to the surrounding building and lead through a rich variety of herbs, grasses, perennials and trees. Project "Villen im Cottage" completed

Villen im Cottage (Vienna) - a residential project we have been working on since late 2013 - is completed. Our landscape design divides the outdoor facilities into two parts on two levels, making best possible use of the sloped terrain. The upper area comprises terraced private gardens, the lower area offers all residents a semi-public space of diverse qualties and urban flair. The plain and ‚quiet‘ design creates a harmonious balance between differentiated spaces and a uniform appearance. View the complete project on our website here.

Lectures and Concept Design Workshops in Egypt

Within the framework of our activities as Landscape Design Consultants to the Quality Education Support Programme (QESP) in Egypt, we currently give lectures and organize design workshops that mediate our landscape design quidelines developed for the project in 2013. Architecture and schoolyards of approximately 120 schools are developed in association with the Egyptian General Authority for Educational Buildings (GAEB), international architects and designers, and local design consultants. Design components, which have shown to significantly improve the learning environment will be integrated into the design standards of GAEB.

QESP began in 2013 and is to be completed in 2017. The project is financed by the KfW Development Bank and executed by the Egyptian Ministry of Education. Aiming at improving the quality of education and learning environments, QESP provides a holistic approach to preparing schools for quality accreditation, a main target of the national education strategy. The project is not only focused on infrastructure. Extensive social components accompany the process, such as awareness programs, workshops, motivational training at village level, teacher training, capacity building in schools and lower administrative levels of the Egyptian Ministry of Education. This approach is further supported through decentralized and participatory analysis and design, transferring responsibility to lower levels of administration, village structures and local population.
The photos above were taken during a concept design workshop in October 2014, organized by GOPA Consultants and supervised by Aldinger Architekten and Kieran Fraser Landscape Design. The workshop results were presented in 2 of the schools involved in the programme. View excerpts of project on our website here.
